Irwin Molison appointed to Customs Court.
During Nzingha’s childhood, the Portuguese were trying to invade her country and take her people as slaves. She was a member of the Jaga people who lived in Ndongo, now known as Angola. When her brother, Ngolo, died she became Queen and the Portuguese’s main rival.
